DEARBORN, Mich. – A Dearborn dentist is struggling with 10 counts of fraud right after she lied about executing healthcare treatment for little ones from low-income homes, officers claimed.
Ghada Beydoun built many Medicaid promises between 2017 and 2018 for strategies that she did not actually perform, in accordance to authorities.
Officials mentioned she was enrolled in a Medicaid application identified as Balanced Youngsters Dental, which is meant to supply dental treatment to small children in lower-revenue households. As a result of the promises for individuals faux expert services, Beydoun fraudulently received taxpayer pounds, authorities stated.
Beydoun was arraigned Wednesday early morning (Aug. 25) on 10 counts of Medicaid fraud — false declare in 54B District Court in East Lansing. The demand is a four-calendar year felony, officers claimed.
“The Medicaid system, and in particular applications like Wholesome Kids Dental, are intended to present important expert services to Michigan young children who may not if not be equipped to get these providers,” Attorney General Dana Nessel said. “When unscrupulous providers exploit these programs to line their possess pockets, they will be held accountable.”
