CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson is ready to step up on and off the discipline for the workforce this yr.
Getting into his sixth time, and contemporary off a significant contract extension, Thompson is predicted to fill the void still left by the recent departures of Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis.
Thompson has been nursing a sore groin in education camp, but not too long ago informed WCNC Charlotte’s Ashley Stroehlein that he’ll be completely ready to perform Week 1 when the staff hosts the Las Vegas Raiders.
Thompson has also started off the Shaq Thompson Legacy Fund, in section, to aid minimal-money learners with dental hygiene.
“My mother was not capable to just take us to the dentist and get our tooth cleaned every single 6 months,” Thompson told Stroehlein. “I want to make sure these children have a self confidence in their smile. If you have a self-assurance nobody’s likely to break that from you, you might be going to dwell your most effective existence.”
